About Alaina

MUSIC WAS EVERYWHERE IN ALAINA PAMELA’S UPBRINGING AS A FRENCH-CANADIAN AND WEST INDIAN ARTIST.

Be it through the church, Indian celebrations, or singing in a choir, both culture and music meant everything to her. Growing up in the foster system, Alaina was encouraged by her foster family to continue pursuing her passion for music despite frequent bullying from her peers. While in school, Alaina continued to elevate her music experience from Glee squad to musical theatre, to singing for charity benefits.

Alaina continued to chase the escapism and solace that music brought her during troubling times as a waitress at the only diner in her small town of Gatineau, Quebec. Eventually landing in Montreal, Alaina often sang karaoke for her friends when she had the rare chance. Though it was a challenge to remain afloat, Alaina remained opportunistic about her love for the music industry.

Fast forward post-release of her first full-length EP “Depth of My Heart,” Alaina Pamela is now a full-time independent artist. Her unique “pop mystique” sound is a whimsical and shimmering twist on her deep and poetic lyricism. Accumulating over half a million streams on her first project, Alaina is excited to dive deeper as she works on her first full-length record at her home studio with her producer Michael Kim-Sheng.

In promotion of her EP, Alaina has and continues to headline at legendary venues in both Los Angeles and Montreal, including the Wonzimer, The Peppermint Club, Genghis Cohen, and more!

Ready to give it her all, Alaina moved to Los Angeles to pursue being an artist full-time. Leaning fully into the ebbs and flows of learning what it takes to write and release music, Alaina created original songs that drew from her deeply personal experiences growing up.
